Family Vacay-Day 1

We left mid week to enjoy exploring the Ouray/Silverton/Telluride area of Colorado. We timed our arrival into Silverton to see the Durango-Silverton train. At some point, we would love to take this train, but see some wisdom in waiting for kids to be older. We loved checking out the train. The engineers were happy to answer any questions about the train. After the train departed, we strolled down this idyllic mountain town main street and found a treat to enjoy. Next, we made our way to our campsite at Molas Pass Campground. Gorgeous! We lucked out with our campsite. Bryan may have helped our cause when he called and explained that we had three, young kids and that anything with a little distance from the next campsite might be best for everyone. Luke was ecstatic to try out his new Red Rider BB gun, Emma tried her luck with fishing and Myles loved pushing around and loading up his dump truck. It rained a little that evening, but thankfully saved the downpour for once we were in our tent for the night.

The kids' feet were just a little dirty…pass the baby wipes!!
