Ladies' Dinner Party
I feel pretty spoiled to have such a fancy friend right next door. She hosted a ladies' dinner one evening on her deck and it was a great night. The decorations made me feel like royalty, the food was delicious and the conversation lasted well into the night. So grateful for these wonderful friends in my life.
Crawdads
It seems like our crawdad fishing is becoming an annual tradition of Summer. We joined several families at Castlewood Canyon and had a great evening--with lots of success and quite a few laughs, usually at the kids' expense. :) I didn't capture many photos from the night so thank you to Elizabeth for the few I do have!
Something about this pictures leads me to believe that I think she is going to be able to hold her own in life.
They boys even caught a little snake making it extra exciting.

Dirt Jumps with Luke
The kids each have a punch card and earn a punch for each day they do their chores without complaining and doing them well. When their punch card is full, they get to pick from a list of rewards. Luke chose a date with mom. We went to the dirt jumps on our bikes in the morning and then to Maverick for a slushee and nachos for lunch. It was a fun date with Luke. He values one-on-one time with a parent-I'm so grateful for this, we'll see how long it lasts. :)

Luke's Golf Clinic
Luke attended a 3-day golf clinic at the golf course close to our home, Red Hawk Golf Course. He really enjoyed it and was very proud to earn his Colorado golf ball by winning the putting competition.
Library and Slime Day
We hit up the Castle Pine's library in the morning. This library is smaller than the one in Castle Rock, but they have a few different kid area activities that the kids like to do such as dress up, wood blocks and the lights on the wall that change colors when you turn them.
In the afternoon, we drove to 4 different stores collecting our ingredients for slime. Amazing how much better the kids behaved when they had a true interest for what was on our list vs. the typical grocery list. Walmart-To-Go has saved me this Summer from dragging kids to the store against their will (and mine).
It was a fun day with the kids.
