Keystone

Bryan had a work convention in Keystone. We decided to let the kids play hooky from school and headed up the mountains to join him. It was an easy decision. We had lots of fun swimming, hot tubbing (trying out several different ones at the property), driving to check out some Fall colors, lounging, playing card games, competing at Scum on the pool table and finding out who is and who is not a good sport. :)

Not a bad view to wake up to outside our room.

It was entertaining watching the helicopters carrying parts of the ski lift up the mountain side while we swam.

Classy crew.

Came across this awesome sign while searching for Fall leaves.

Back for another round of hot tubbing now that Bryan could join us.

Just a few soap suds.

It was a quick, but great family getaway.

School Pictures

I love ordering school pictures. I'm not completely sure why?!? I was flying back from Detroit the morning of school pictures and my plane ended getting delayed. Luckily, Bryan made sure the kids' hair and outfits were presentable (and my friend, Karalyn, helped put the finishing touches on Emma's hair on their way to school).

Lollipop Park

The kids didn't miss me too much while I was gone. Bryan took them to Lollipop park with another family whose mom/wife was on the trip to Moab. The kids love this place so when a Groupon popped up, I snagged it.  They had a great time! I wonder how long Luke will still like the kiddie rides?!?

Myles made some new friends.

Moab

Months and months ago, I tossed an invite out to some girl friends to see if anyone would want to join me on a century ride in Moab. I had not one or two, but six awesome friends that decided they were up for the adventure! We tried to train through the Summer months. I enjoyed some gorgeous Summer morning bike rides through country roads...and one miserable ride in hurricane force wind.

The weekend finally came and it was a blast. We started off by hiking Delicate Arch. The temperature was perfect and we only had a few sprinkles of rain. We met up at dinner with two friends that had to leave later from Castle Rock. The dinner was good, but the patio is what made the restaurant. We went back to the condo and cashed in early in prep for our long ride the next day.

I thought everyone did really well on the ride and with varying distances. For one of my friends, this ride was her first time on her road bike! She was incredible. Another friend ran over a medium-size dog not once, but TWICE and managed to stay on her bike. I couldn't believe it and I saw it with my own eyes! We all had the giggles after that incident.

We lounged around the condo that night, ordered in some Italian and patted ourselves on the back for our accomplishment. The next day, we hit the road and listened to the Church's Broadcast of the General Women's Session. It was a great weekend!

We had good timing with the Fall leaves on I-70.
