Rockies Game

We caught the Rockies vs. Dodgers game with Bryan's work. We had dinner at a the pavilion outside the stadium so Bryan and Mike could visit with their clients before the game. It's nice that several friends are clients and came with their families so my kids and I also had someone to visit with. The Rockies actually beat the Dodgers so it was a great game!

There was a spot for playing corn hole at dinner. The kids and adults enjoyed this.

Poor Myles crashed on his wiggle car the day before and his face broke his fall. It healed nicely and looks like no scar will form.

Gymnastics Field Trip

We took a field trip with Emma's gymnastics class to a full gym. Right now, she's doing it out of a lady's basement which is great for beginners. It will be Emma's last year with this coach and then she will transition to a gym if she wants to keep doing it.

Sidewalk Chalk at Festival Park

We adventured to Castle Rock's Festival Park to play with friends, admire the artists' drawings on the sidewalk, attempt our own masterpieces and wade in the little stream that runs through the park. We topped off our day with a free ice cream cone stop that tasted and felt like the end to a great Summer day!

I wish I took a picture of his finished rose. It was stunning and my favorite one.

Downtown Denver

Bryan had a work convention in Denver. We took advantage of the free hotel for some rooftop swimming and movie night. I was glad Bryan convinced me it would be worth it because it most definitely was! We brought microwave popcorn for the movie night, but the room didn't have a microwave so I called down to the front desk to see if I could run down and borrow one. Next thing I know, someone shows up at our door with a full-on microwave! Okay then!

YM's High Adventure

Although Bryan is serving as EQ's secretary right now, that doesn't stop him from getting roped into an adventure with the YM. He planned and helped execute an awesome high adventure for these YM and their dads.

Grandma Comes to Town

Grandma Kotter came out to help while I was attending YW's camp. I think my kids were disappointed when I came home from camp because then they realized that grandma would be leaving! I was so thankful for her help and sacrifice to be here. One night, Bryan took everyone fishing and made dinner (Ramen noodles) on the little backpacking stove. It sounded like a highlight for everyone.

This woman, whom I'm lucky to call mom, is beyond wonderful. I don't know how I would do this life without her at times.

Crawdad Fishing

We loaded up our beef jerky, fishing line and buckets for crawdad fishing in Castlewood Canyon. We had our lucky fishing spot to ourselves and had a blast. One of the highlights for me was when a mouse scurried up on a nearby rock and jumped into the water and started swimming right at Luke! Haha! Luke was outta there SO fast! :)
