Luke's Lawn Care Business

Bryan lined up Luke's first lawn-mowing job and it lasted all Summer. Bryan was good to help Luke execute the details of this job. I was grateful for a husband that wants to instill the value of hard work in our kids and Luke for sticking with it! In fact, it's now a year-round business for Luke as he is shoveling her driveway and sidewalks with each snowstorm.

Day 6-7: More Cousin Time

We had lotsa fun playing games with Grandma and Grandpa and visiting Greg and Tiff's family and their ginormous book warehouse. The kids loved playing in their background which includes a zip line, swimming pool, hot tub, playground--it's a kids' paradise! To top off the fun, the kids made their own movie.

We had such a great visit with family! It made us wish we lived closer to everyone!

Day 5: Boise with the Nielsons!

We drove up to Boise to spend time with our Nielson family! We had a great time being with aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, Grandma and Grandpa! Swimming at the neighbor's is always a fun time-especially when cousins are involved!

Day 3-4: Family & Mountains

We spent the rest of our time in Utah by attending Bryan's grandma's funeral. It was a small, but lovely tribute to her. My parents watched our kiddos so we could go and visit as long as we liked. We appreciated that time together and with Bryan's side of the family. I don't think the kids missed us too much. The following day, we took Tom up on his offer to borrow his jeep. We went for an evening ride above Mantua on our way to Camp Mantua. The mountains were showing off that night and it was gorgeous. I thought my mountain loving man might just tear up on me. We love Colorado, but the access of the Wasatch Front mountains cannot be beat.

We also completed our stay with a few visits to Peach City. I almost didn't believe a friend when she told me that it wasn't the same place we were use to growing up. She was right. It was much improved. The shakes were delicious!

Day 2: WaterFall Hike and Nielson BBQ

Bryan went golfing with his brothers and dad in the morning. While he was golfing, I took the kids on a hike to a waterfall (that I can't remember the name of anymore). The hike was pretty short and sweet especially when this beautiful waterfall was our reward!

After the hike, we stopped at Ben and Mindi's to hang out with cousins and chat. So grateful for Chan, Madi and Peyt's kindness towards my kids.

Our last stop of the day was a BBQ at Rick's house with the Nielson family. I failed to get any pictures of the adults!

Utah Visit: DAY 1--Mantua & Fishing at The Farm

We were able to come to Utah for Grandma Spainhower's funeral. We stayed with my parents and enjoyed visiting family, especially during these strange times of the pandemic!

There's always something fun going on at Grandma's house!

Tom took us up to Mantua Reservoir to do some fishing. It was a little windy for fishing and the amount of kids on board, but it was a great afternoon!

"Little mossy!"

We stayed and played at the swim beach for awhile after we pulled the boat out. I forget how pretty it is there with the mountains in the background.

Since the fish weren't biting at Mantua, we made up for it out at the farm's pond that evening.

My cousin was adding an addition onto their home. There was a huge hole in their backyard as part of this renovation. The kids played for a long time in this adventure spot.
