In the Meantime...

When we moved to Colorado almost 2 months ago we thought Bryan would be starting his job within 2 weeks of moving here...however, due to some "administration issues" at Comcast things are just starting to get rolling for him! These past 2 months have definitely brought a different lifestyle for Bryan (one of sitting back and waiting, instead of the usual go, go, go!). I have captured some of the "excitement" of Bryan's life these past couple of months.


***Bryan has always enjoyed reading, but rarely has a day gone by these last few weeks when I haven't seen him finish a book. I often find ESPN pulled up on his computer screen, he is very informed in the world of sports. He has also made many trips to our local library-- as his night stand shows...from the subject of Warren Buffett to bicycling or ANY type of war book he is becoming rather well rounded. He does enjoy some good celebrity gossip every now and then, especially when it comes to keeping up on his favorite American President's family...





***Bryan has discovered the Betty Crocker within himself. Who wouldn't love to come home to meatloaf in the shape of a heart?!? Or some homemade french onion soup?? The other day he even made some blackberry jam. I can confidently admit that my husband is a better chef than me! :)





***I have even received breakfast in bed. I don't think that the past few months have been too bad!





***In addition to all of the above, Bryan still feels the need to be contributing financially--he has needed to become a little creative to do so. These are just a "few" things that I found he has been listing on Craigslist. I have been watching my closet closely to make sure I don't need to buy something back from my husband! :)

EASTER WEEKEND

For Easter we ended up doing the traditional things-dying some eggs, decorating our Easter baskets, and eating lots and lots of candy. We went to an Easter pot-luck dinner tonight with a nurse I met at the hospital-we had fun watching the kids at the dinner find Easter eggs, which were filled with some really good candy. I was tempted to elbow one of the kids out of the way for those treats... :)

I was quite pleased with my non-crafty self! :)

We made these "baskets" out of brown paper sacks when

I was little, so I decided to bring it back. Here is my

non-craftiness in all its glory.

So, this was actually the previous weekend that Jess

was able to come out and play. We had a great time shopping,

talking, playing games on each other's phones... 

I really enjoyed having her come. The best part was just 

having time to chat and laugh with each other.

Spring Has Sprung OR Has It?!?

Just last night Bryan had these beautiful Spring flowers 

waiting for me when I came home from work. I loved it!

Before we left, we spent some time up in Brigham City with my family. It was great to see everyone before we took off, as well as have some good laughs. After being analyzed on the Wii fit, Bryan and I realized it is time to be a little-or a lot more active. Here are some pictures, as well as some entertaining clips of last weekend.

Out with the old, in with the new!

We are officially in Colorado! The movers unloaded our boxes on Tuesday. It really didn't take too long, since we don't have all that much right now! (Bryan was still amazed with how many boxes my shoes filled). It has been a smooth transition so far. Bryan's brother, Mike and his family live about 15-20 minutes away and have been so nice to help us.
I will start work on Tuesday at the hospital. I am looking forward to the change, but the commute is another story. :) Bryan is still waiting to hear back about the contract. In the mean time, he will be locating local colleges and institutes to try and find some salesmen.
We're excited to be here and to experience a new adventure...

Our other place was too small for both of us to be in the kitchen
at the same time, so last night Bryan and I made
dinner together -it was a fun night.

G*U*A*T*E*M*A*L*A

Last week we went on a trip to Guatemala with Bryan's parents, Rick-his brother, some friends-Dave, Lindsay and Stan. We had a great time. We were able to see a lot of the country as well as some of the areas where Bryan served his mission. My favorite quote of the trip was from Bryan---we pulled into a place that resembled more of a farm than a hotel's boat dock that would be taking us to our ocean-front, beach bungalow. He simply stated "They made it look really good on the Internet." It was actually pretty nice once we arrived to the actual bungalow. Sometimes the best things are a little hidden, I guess!
Everything was pretty smooth sailing except for a few "minor" incidents such as Bryan's dad's camera being stolen and being held at gun point a block away from the hotel! :) Memories were definitely made!
We really did have a good trip, but are grateful to be home (or at least on the move to a new home)...

Celine Dion Concert

Last year when Bryan and I were dating I bought him Celine Dion concert tickets-not as a joke-but as a true, loving gift. Bryan absolutely loves Celine Dion and is comfortable enough with his manhood to admit it. She finally made it to town a few nights ago. The demographics for the concert were women in their mid-40s, and Bryan. The night would have been complete for me if I could have found him a bright pink t-shirt confessing his love for Celine.
