Emma had her annual eye check up and she is doing so great! The doctor thought she'll need to keep wearing glasses for another 3 or so years to help keep her eye muscles strengthened (maintenance) and then she may not need them. We'll see! (pun intended)
After her eye appt, we stopped in the lobby for a finger poke to test for markers for diabetes type 1, celiac and COVID-19 antibodies. Emma passed out and gave me (and the lady doing the test) quite the scare when she was coming to. Luckily, her pediatrician was right next door and did a quick check on her. She was completely fine, but it rattled me. I felt some true PTSD from years ago with her seizures. I'm very grateful to have this happy, healthy daughter--who maybe took advantage of me a little bit that day with eating out and staying home from school the rest of the day. :)
