Our best buddies, the Cramers, were in the states for a week visiting family and we were lucky to be able to meet up with them for 24 hours. I was very concerned it wouldn't happen due to the pandemic and all of the restrictions. However, a miracle occurred and we got to be together for an incredibly 24 hours together. I think Elizabeth and I slept for maybe 4 hours combined. Love having a friendship where we can pick up and visit all night about frivolous, significant, heartaches, accomplishments, hopes and concerns. So many laughs mixed with a few tears. This visit was so good for my kids and me. The goodbye sucked. No way around it, but we would do it again in a heartbeat!
I watched their flight, I maybe even woke up in the middle of the night to check on it.
Not too much shyness or awkwardness when we saw our friends after 18 months.
Next stop, In 'N Out. Mmm, Mmm GOOD!
After lunch, we made our way to the AirBnB. The hot tub was more of a cool tub, but other than that it was perfect for what we needed: games, movies, caramel apples and really, just a spot to be together!
Elizabeth gifted my kiddos these cute Amsterdam t-shirts.
