Sharing a Room
Out of desperation, we moved Myles into Luke's room to see if it would help Myles to sleep any better. Even as I type this I realize, what were we thinking?!? Again, we were desperate. While no one is magically sleeping in every morning, these two boys of ours are sure enjoying sharing a room. Myles can definitely drive Luke a little crazy. One night, Bryan went to check on them and Myles had crawled into Luke's bed and was driving his train all over Luke's face. Luke was dead-fast asleep. Another night, Bryan found Myles snuggled up to Luke and Luke was wide awake. He gave Bryan a thumbs up and softly explained, "He sleeps better this way." The newness has since died down and Myles stays in his own bed for most nights. I wonder how long they will think it's fun to share a room.
Kindergarten Registration
Emma had her Kindergarten registration and did so well. I felt like someone needed to shake my shoulders and explain to me how my baby girl is old enough to be in kindergarten in the Fall! She is confident, adventurous, kind and ready for this next step. Now, if I could just get my heart to understand that!
Easter
Our Easter Bunny usually visits on Saturday and we enjoy a more peaceful Sabbath Day. However, this year, someone slipped the Easter Bunny a note that the boys were gone on a trip so it held out until Sunday. I think we learned we prefer the Easter bunny visit on Saturday when possible. Nonetheless, we enjoyed a beautiful Easter Sunday.
Chesler Park
Bryan is making an annual tradition of going to Chesler park on a boys' trip with his dad and any friends that would like to come along. It sounds like they had a good group and the hiking with the kids went even better this year than last. Myles is still uninvited, but maybe in the next few years he'll make the cut...maybe.
Zoo Day
I took Emma and Myles to the zoo (poor Luke was at school) and we enjoyed the perfect Spring day. All of the animals were out and we even saw the polar bear swimming laps. Myles loved seeing the baby giraffe and Emma always like to stop at the cheetahs and ask me, "Is a cheetah or a ______ faster?" Insert 10-15 different animals or objects and you'll be right there with me in this moment. :)
Love these kids that are growing older and changing so quickly that it sometimes catches me by surprise when I look at pictures.

Oh this Mister Myles is so much trouble right now...but the number one problem is he shoots me this smile and knows that he can get away with murder.
We all had some belly laughs watching the sea lions chase each other.
ZOLL
A few months ago a friend told me about a job opportunity with his company, ZOLL. Bryan and I thought it over and decided to go for it. It is a per diem/part time gig. Basically, when the sales reps sell defibrillators to the hospitals, they need clinical educators (where I come in) to go in afterwards and educate the staff on the use of defibrillators. I started it in April and have been hopping on a plane about every other week in attempts to get up to par on my training. Bryan has been amazing through all of this. His parents came out for a few days and also helped. We greatly appreciated their time and help. Our kids loved when they came and ask when they can come again. I'm really enjoying my work, but am looking forward to scaling it back now that I'm more comfortable with the expectations of the job. I'm still balancing cutting back on piano students to only one day. I think once the piano recital is over this week and I'm not on a plane every other week with my nursing job I will be able to catch my breath! I never had any idea the different avenues my nursing degree would take me!
I practiced up before going on my first assignment flying solo and I was glad I did! I taught class sizes of 1-15 depending on the time of day. Practicing at home was perfect because I knew if I could keep my kids' attention while teaching, I might have a shot with some of the doctors. :) Luke was quite disturbed by my headless/armless torso on the bed when he came home one night! I had to reassure him several times that it was just pretend.

Ski Buddy
I found some killer deals on Loveland Ski Passes and took Luke on a ski date. We had a great time! I really enjoyed spending the day with him. He was still wanting to do more runs at 3:00 PM, but I was exhausted! I persuaded him back to the car with the promise of stopping for a treat on the way home. :)
