Trapper's Lake

We drove to the middle of Colorado to see what Trapper's Lake campsite was all about. We drove through gorgeous forests and then when we arrived to our campsite, we were right on the edge of the burn scar from a previous, huge fire. It was a little disappointing with the cabin location and service of staff, but there was still a lot to explore and views to be seen. Cramers joined us a few hours later and these kids played non-stop for hours on end.

A hiking we will go...

Just a little something on your face.

Lots of eating together. We had to get creative because there was a strict fire ban, not even charcoals. Luckily, we did most of our cooking ahead of time and just warmed food on the Coleman stoves.

Hanging out and getting filthy.

What's a family vacation without a few tantrums here and there?

The kids tried their best to lure in the chipmunks, but I think we left too many other food options for them to fall for the string-bucket trap.

Horsin' Around.

 Target shooting.

An early birthday gift from Cramers. Emma loved the shimmery dress.

Fishing, Fishing and more Fishing.

Games, s'mores, hot cocoa and star gazing by night.
