4 14ers

Shortly after I hiked Mt. Bierstadt with Elizabeth, Bryan checked off four "14ers" in one day with some buddies. Bryan tossed out the invite to a bunch of friends and by the day before there was quite the crew that was going! A few of the guys even brought their sons along. It sounded like it was pretty chilly and windy on each of the summits, but overall, everyone had a good time.

Water Par-tay!

Cramers held their annual end-of-summer water bash! We were thrilled that we could attend! Lots of sun, water, KIDS, games and activities (that were perfect for the various ages) and laughter with great friends! Thanks Cramers for another oh-so-fun party…and sharing your pics!

Both Luke and Emma told me their favorite part was playing "Duck, Duck, SPLASH!" 

There was even colored ice cube painting. 

Ended the party with popsicles and a pic of all 18 kids!

Never-ending

Never-ending is how I feel about Myles' ear infection that he's had since the beginning of July, UGH. After 5 different antibiotics, 7 or 8 doctor visits and 1 exhausted mama we're seeing an ENT doc tomorrow. He's really been so good through all of this, but we would love to have him feeling 100%! I'm sure he would like that, too. He even cut his first two teeth with all of this going on, poor kid!

These two crazies know where the sticker drawer is at the Dr.'s office! 

This is definitely one of those pictures that does NOT capture the reality of taking three kids to back-to-back doctor appointments. It sure is a cute one though.

How can I be upset about no sleep when this is how he greets me?!?

We hope this dang ear thing gets resolved sooner than later! Fingers crossed!

Parade Time!

I headed to the county parade with the kids on Saturday  morning. Bryan was hiking with some buddies, so all of the single moms met up for the parade. Strength in numbers, right?

We were right at the beginning of the parade and the candy was flowing freely. Seriously, all the kids had to do was open their bag and people would put the candy in it for them!! Come on! This isn't Halloween (it was better!) … let the kids run for that one piece of candy and then cry when they didn't get it. Not at this parade. There were water bottles, frisbees, coupons, bags, it was ridiculous. The parade itself only last a little over an hour. I love small towns. We'll be back next year.

County Fair

After the mutton bustin, we headed over to the fair with some friends. We enjoyed greasy fair food, overpriced rides and checking out the animals. It was a great family night.

Okay, those rides were worth every penny when you see smiles like that on your kids!!

I promised Emma a pony ride. However, there were none to be found! Luckily, we ran into some friends that were showing their steer. This was close enough! :) Although, I don't think Emma was too convinced. 

Myles was a champ and slept or chilled in the Baby Bjorn. You can almost see him in the background. 

Mutton Bustin

Luke was excited to try out "Mountain Bustin," as he referred to it, this year at our county fair. They take the first 60 kids that sign up. We were number 52. Phew! The top 10 kids ride again that night in the rodeo. It was hilarious to watch these 60 kids hold on (or not) to the unruly sheep. Luke is already talking about next year and his strategy to win a belt buckle.
