General Conference

Every six months we look forward to General Conference. This weekend we were able to listen to more than usual (which is still a relatively low percentage with young kids). The kids liked pitching their tent to listen to the Prophet and other church leaders, like they did in the Book of Mormon when King Benjamin was speaking. I printed off a few pages to correlate with conference. Conference bingo was definitely the winner for holding their attention the longest and helping them to listen. We enjoyed simplified, homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast and some yummy meat from the smoker that Bryan made for dinner.  In our minds, a laid-back weekend needs to include delicious food.

The kids helped out with breakfast dishes. I appreciated their willingness to help and Cloroxed the counters once they were outside playing. :)

One of my take-aways from conference.
