The next day, we went into RMNP along with the rest of the Western United States. Apparently, lots of people were still on Fall break. After a quick tour of RMNP, we headed for Castle Rock. We did some shopping at the outlets and then got our "witch on" for the annual witching night a friend of mine hosts here. Witching night was a blast. It started with dinner at Costa Vida and ended with a battle at Dart Warz. Saturday was low key, we relaxed with a pedicure in the morning, took the kids to Pumpkin Fest and ended the day by going out for dessert. She flew out early the next morning. It was a fun visit with a friend who will always be in my heart!

Christina
My friend since 5th grade, flew out for a few fun days together. I picked her up from the airport and we drove to Estes Park for a quick retreat. We walked around the quaint town and enjoyed plenty of salt water taffy samples. We saw the elk that are apparently some of the "locals." There were plans to go out for dinner that night, but we both opted to chill at the timeshare and order a pizza. We shared lots of funny memories from high school, some tears over how life can take some heartbreaking turns at times, but mostly laughter over the day to day things.

#9
Bryan and I hit the 9 year mark this anniversary. We had plans to go out, but Luke was under the weather that day. We rescheduled our night out a week later. By "night out", I mean we went to a local restaurant and then ran some errands. It was laid back and neither of us wanted to do something else. Bryan spoiled me with a gift and beautiful flowers. So grateful for us, our marriage in the temple and the life we've created together.
We had pazookies on our first date and ate them again on our anniversary.
Charlie's Baptism
One of Luke's best buddies was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We were excited for his decision and went to support him and his family. It was a wonderful morning.
Autumn Day at the Zoo
It was suppose to be a cold this day, but we lucked out with a perfect, Fall day. The kids had the day off of school because of Fall break and thought the zoo sounded fun to go visit. The Zoo had a Dinosaur Exhibit throughout the park that was ending soon. They loved the zoo and especially the cool, robotic (but looked very lifelike!) dinosaurs. There were a few that frightened them. After the zoo, we finally hit up a nearby McDonald's for lunch and the play place. The kids ask every time we go to the zoo. Today, I made good on my word of "another day." It was such an enjoyable day.
These ones even sprayed water.
