We did a little "prep" work before heading to the cabin.
Luke helped me make my Grandma Munns' Thanksgiving rolls. I was ecstatic that they somewhat resembled and even tasted like a roll, low expectations. :)
Elizabeth and I divided up the responsibilities of Thanksgiving dinner. She definitely took on more of the cooking. Anyone that knows Elizabeth, knows that this girl can cook! Yum!
We decided that while everything was baking/cooking/simmering/cooling etc. that it would be a great time to hit up some sledding. The driveway leading up to the cabin was perfect for a kids' sledding hill. The kids bundled up (way too much, thanks to me) and headed out for some fun in the snow.

After we worked up an appetite sledding, we headed inside to enjoy our Thanksgiving feast!
Elizabeth with her perfect Turkey. She even put "aromatics" in it. I didn't know those even existed until Elizabeth explained it to me. It was delicious!
We got a little carried away with all of our eating and didn't snap any pictures with all of us. Blaspheme!
Cramers do a traditional toast of what each person is thankful for before the meal begins. Luke: "Utah." Me: "Family, friends that feel like family, rambling." Bryan: "Our Freedom." I really liked this tradition.

Charlie was the lucky one this year!
The next day we went to Wolf Creek Ski Resort. This was going to be Luke's first time skiing. I was pretty nervous about: A) getting him on the chair lift, B) keeping him on the chair lift and C) getting him off the chair lift. The rest I felt pretty good about. :)
To say that Luke was excited to ski, would be a serious understatement.
We lucked out with a warm and GORGEOUS day.

We made it on the lift, stayed on the lift AND got off the lift successfully!
HUGE tip: Having Luke wear his back pack with reins was extremely helpful. I could use the handle on the back pack to help him on and off the lift as well as help him up when he fell skiing.
I took Luke for a few runs and had a blast with him. We took a break for lunch and then Bryan headed out with Luke for a few more hours of skiing! I told myself a few runs would be a success with Luke. I couldn't believe we lasted hours!

Bryan took a quick run solo. He hiked a bit to enjoy some good snow and terrain. He reported, "definitely worth it."
Luke was exhausted after all of the fun. I think he lasted 5 minutes before passing out.
The rest of the time we spent hanging out at the cabin playing games (the adults stayed up waaaaay too late every night playing cards, but I'm now hooked on 'Spades'- love it), doing Thanksgiving crafts, watching football, taking the boys on a nature walk courtesy of Bryan and eating lots of yummy leftovers!
