Christmas Day 2018

The kids were up bright and early, although not as early as the previous year! Cue the Hallelujah chorus! It was a great Christmas. Somehow, Santa seems to get a little too carried away each year. Hopefully, he can rein it in next year. So grateful for these kids that help make Christmas so fun for Bryan and me.

Santa's timing of this doll with glasses was perfect. Just a few months later, Emma was wearing glasses just like her doll!

I love the Little House on the Prairie Books. I thought this quote summed up my thoughts this Christmas Day:

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was low key and we loved it. We made sugar cookies for Santa, cut out snowflakes to bring added Christmas cheer and excitedly watched the update on Santa Claus' whereabouts on Bryan's phone. The Christmas Eve dinner and live nativity we were invited to was very fancy. I don't think they knew what they were getting when our family showed up! Myles was quite the wild one during the live nativity and proceeded to experience some flatulence during the middle of the performance. Oh Myles, I'm not sure we'll receive an invite back next year-ha.

Christmas Adam

Christmas Adam fell on a Sunday this year. I loved the Sacrament program at church with all of the music and narrative about the Savior. It really invited the spirit. I think this was the first time in many years where I wasn't asked to help with the Christmas program. I am happy to help, but it was nice to be able to spend the entire time with my family.

Later that day, we changed up our typical tradition of family party, jammies and games/movies from Christmas Eve to this night. We were invited to a church member's home Christmas Eve, but still wanted to have our family's traditions.

The anticipation was rough for Myles.

Clue and Boggle Jr. were added to our game collection. Boggle Jr. was not as good of a family game as I thought it would be, but Myles really enjoyed it.
