KR2017: Day 2

We headed into Yellowstone and were actually able to caravan fairly well-much better than I thought he would! We started at Old Faithful and had our picnic there, continued through Hayden valley where we saw plenty of buffalo roaming, a few elk, one moose and lots of antelope, ended up at Artist Point of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and made our final stop with a hike down to the very edge of the massive waterfall. On our way out of Yellowstone we stopped for some delicious ice cream. I opted for a scoop of the huckleberry and didn't regret it. By the pictures, it looked like we were all pleased with our choices. We rounded out the night with fishing and kayaking at the lake and more 4-wheeler rides.

Luke was Logan's shadow. Logan was kind and allowed Luke to pal around with him.

Waiting his turn for a ride. Love that belly profile.

Kotter Reunion 2017

This reunion was in the works for over 2 years. I got the ball rolling and then my brothers along with their wives and my parents helped to execute the details. Dave headed up the menu planning and cooking. All of the meals were excellent. Each family rotated through prepping and cleaning up the meals. Although, I think Dave was helping out most meals. He did a great job. It was nice to not worry about! Other brothers took on transporting 4-wheelers and tubes for the river float, planning Yellowstone routes,  coordinating games around the cabin, and so on. It has been a long time since all of us were together. The last time was at Tom's wedding and that was five years ago. It was wonderful to have everyone together.  Love my family and am very grateful for everyone making this a priority and making it happen.

Day 1: We arrived at the cabin and started exploring! We tried out the SUPs/kayaks at the private lake, 4-wheelers, game room and anything else we could find. This place had it all.

It was the perfect start to a great week with family.

Slip N Slide

Emma received a slip n slide for her birthday. The next day we busted it out, invited a few friends over last minute  and tried it out. Slip n slides and summer belong together ...with otter pops for the cherry on top.
