***I'm waiting to receive the pics from Bryan to blog about his fly fishing trip. Kudos to his amazing wife for landing such a thoughtful gift. :) Sounded like they (Bryan and his friend, Doug, received this gift together) were successful and enjoyed their "man time."
We lived it up in Brigham. I caught up with old friends, barbecued with family, visited several of my favorite spots with a new one mixed in and made a few "memories" that swayed me from any desire to ever buy bunk beds. Let's just say that Luke had too much root beer and was on the top bunk. Best/worst part about the whole thing??? I wasn't home when the whole fiasco unleashed! Staci had to track me down in the van as my phone battery was dead. I don't know if it's possible to feel more embarrassed than I did at that very moment!! Luke wasn't too upset by the time I made it home. Uncle Tom hooked him up with a Star Wars movie on the iPad. Just making memories! It felt like a full trip, but we still didn't catch up with everyone that we wanted to visit. Glad that we're not too far away. We always look forward to Utah, even with our "variety" of adventures.
THURSDAY
Myles did very well for the 8-9 hour car ride.
Luke is a huge reason that Myles did so well. He was a huge help on the ride.
Luke couldn't wait to play with the train. I wonder when this stage will pass??? We've been enjoying it for awhile now.
We did a dry-run of Sadie's and Morgan's new blow-up water slide. The kids were very excited about their cousins sharing this new toy.

Baby Morgan is looking less newborn and more baby. She is such a sweet baby.
FRIDAY
I met up with my friend, Laura, and her 3 kids at a park. Laura and I lived together in Salt Lake City for several years. We made such fun memories together! We snow skied it up, snorkeled in the Caribbean, defeated spiders in a cinderblock basement home, laughed a lot about some of our dating experiences…I had no idea what a great friendship was forming. Crazy to get our kids together and think that these kids belong to us?!? How did this happen???
In the afternoon, we set up the waterside and the kids lived it up.

Dave and his family (sans Gwen and Katelyn) joined us that night for a BBQ, hike and smores.
Hiked to the waterfall. The hike was pretty interesting with two strollers, young hikers and only three adults. The way down was just a wee-bit steep. I was doubled over laughing so hard when Dave and I had to start making our own switch backs as to avoid a stroller flying down the mountain. Not really funny, but man, it got me.

Hard to get a view of the waterfall from our vantage point. Most of us made it home before a downpour in sued. Tom and Aubrey decided to hike home and were caught a little in the storm, just making more of those memories!
It was fun to see Luke and Andrew pal around together.
We enjoyed a slower start to the day. The kids loved "helping" Tom with yard work and go to the dump in his truck.
We tried a new drink place that we all liked. I couldn't believe how big their kids' drinks were. Creating diabetes one drink at a time. I did learn a valuable lesson to pick up drinks at the end of our stops. I think Emma used the bathroom 3 times and Luke 2 times within a 2.5 hour time span, they never coordinated their bathroom trips. :)
This was a small water.
Since I was in Brigham, it was only appropriate to order a peach Italian soda. Not too shabby.
We visited Grandma and Grandpa's graveside. Emma and Luke each picked out flowers. I tried to persuade Emma away from the flowers she wanted because they looked like they only had a few more days left in them. She wouldn't budge. When I told Staci the story, she thought that Grandma Munns would like them because Emma brought them, not because of what they looked like. I could not have agreed more. I love and miss these grandparents.
Took the kids to the refined store of Smith and Edwards.
This cookie bought me 5 minutes of uninterrupted shopping. You betcha it was worth it.
SUNDAY
We made it to church and had a slower-paced day. Ben and his family came up Sunday night. I totally slacked off on my picture taking. Great to see them.
Monday morning, we made our way home. This awesome fondue pot made its way to Colorado. Thanks for the new addition to my growing fondue collection, Tom!
