There is something captured in this picture that I cannot explain. I love this picture.

Kenny Chesney
Kenny Chesney made a stop in Denver on his tour and Bryan picked up tickets for us to go! The concert was at Sports Authority Field, where the Broncos play. I think there were 30,000 ish people-give or take 20,000-I'm horrible at estimating. :) Out of that entire crowd, I'm 99% positive that I was the only one wearing a cardigan. It was quite the people-watching event, as in I had a hard time watching and listening to the concert with all of the other side shows going on around us. We had a great evening pretending like we were still young and fun.
We started the evening off with a run to Maverick to help us keep our energy up throughout the evening. This convenience store is the best thing to hit Castle Rock in quite some time. At least, according to Bryan and me.
Next, we ate dinner at La Loma in Denver. They are known for their green chile sauce. I'm not a "foodie", but it did taste delicious. After dinner, we made our way to the concert. I wish I was sneaky and captured a few of "Denver's finest" so I could share that aspect of the concert, but I was afraid they would hurt us if they caught me. Serious.

Concert in the Park
Our neighborhood puts on free concerts in the park during the summer months. For whatever reason, this was our first time going. Not sure why it took me so long. It was a fantastic time. We took a picnic and found a nice, shady spot to enjoy dinner while listening to the music. Luke and Emma were jiving to the beat, played on the playground and ran around aimlessly. It was laid-back evening with hardly any whining from the kids, success! :)
"What?"
Emma was LOVING the potato chips. She may have experienced a slight melt down when her mother stashed them elsewhere.
Luke break dancing. The kid has moves. I would break my back trying this move.
One of my favorite parts of the whole night was when we were leaving. Luke was sitting on top of the picnic blanket in the stroller and nodding his head and tapping his feet to the beat. He thought he was Mr. Cool. He was cracking me up, as well as quite a few onlookers.
Slip 'N' Slide
We are loving summer. So many fun things to do. I'm trying to focus on the positive and not think about when winter rolls around...what are we going to do?!? A few days ago we joined our friends for some slip 'n' slide action in their backyard. Max and Luke loved it, Emma terrorized Kyson in the kiddie pool and Krista's popsicles were a hit. Next time, I'll wear my swimsuit so Krista and I can race each other.
Thanks to Grandma Carrie for Emma's adorable swimsuit!
Group Date
A friend sent out an email with a deal on Groupon for go-carts and mentioned she thought it would be a fun group date. With the exception of one gal who is pregnant, we all jumped on board! We had such a fun night with our friends.
After the go-cart racing Elizabeth made reservations at a Tepanyaki style restaurant.
I am always entertained when they do the shrimp toss, especially if I don't have the pressure to catch it in my mouth and can laugh at others' expense. :)
The entire group. Reminds me of those awesome dance pictures from high school.
They could only allow 6 drivers at a time. We did the ladies first and then the guys.
That's right, #1!
Anyone that has been a passenger in a car with me is probably not shocked by this.
Boys Turn.
Bryan receiving a caution for his reckless driving.
As for the top finishers for the guys...yep, we're a match made in heaven.

For the record, he caught it. :)
Great night with great friends. Huge thanks to Elizabeth for coordinating all of it!
Oh Deckers...
We love this little spot. We visited it again with our friends, the McCrackens. It was quite the perfect, gorgeous day.
I think both kids slept 3+ hours after all of this fun. Like I mentioned, it was the perfect day. :)
Slurpees
On 7-11 we took advantage of our free Slurpee at 7-Eleven. We went with several of Luke's and Emma's pals. We were quite the crew.
