Families are Forever

Bryan's Grandma Nielson passed away last month. We flew to Boise for her funeral. Bryan has wonderful memories with his grandmother. I have only been in the Nielson family for 5 years, but she always made me feel so welcomed and loved. I know that she was an influential part in shaping who Bryan is today and I love her even more for that. It was nice to be able to be with family and be reminded that families are forever. We are so grateful for this knowledge.

Bryan with his sweet Grandpa Nielson.

The silver lining was spending more time with family. We love our family.

Luke's Aunt Tiffany made an amazing birthday cake for Luke. She was so thoughtful to remember Luke with so much else going on. She even made it from scratch. Luke still talks about his blue birthday cake.

Cousins...they lucked out with that Nielson olive skin! Probably the last time these kids are young enough to consider this type of picture cute and not illegal. :)

P.S. HUGE thanks to my cousin, Emily, who watched our crazy kids for half the day so I could attend the funeral. I don't think I'll ever know exactly what happened that day while my kids were there, probably for the best. :) Emily is the sweetest. Again, we're blessed with a wonderful family.
