Has It Been A Month???

November felt like a very busy month, I'm not sure where it went! We had a nice Thanksgiving that we spent with Mike and Melissa's family in Erie. Luke had a lot of fun playing with all of the toys and trying to keep up with his older cousins. Melissa had decorated so fancy, it was beautiful. It is always nice to spend holidays with family. We were having so much fun that we forgot to snap a picture, but it was a great day. I'm extremely grateful for our little family. It's crazy for me to think that just 5 years ago Bryan and I were dating!  If someone would have told me then that I would be married with 2 kids and living in Colorado in only 5 years, I would have responded that they were crazy! Life is full of adventures and different turns. I feel so blessed, and sometimes a little crazy. :)

Speaking of our little family, Emma recently approached the new adventure of solid foods. She tried oatmeal cereal for the first time and LOVED it. She was grabbing the spoon out of my hand! It was pretty funny to Bryan, myself and even Luke to watch her take command.

Judging by this last picture, bring on the steak!

Bow Tie Update

The gal that arranged the entire barn boutique did an amazing job. Her barn was completely transformed, it was stunning. I only snapped a few pictures with my phone and they are lame. I wish that I would have taken more! I split a booth with my friend, Melissa. It was nice to have someone to visit with and be able to leave for an hour here or there. So, here are the few, lame pictures that I took. I didn't even have one of the barn or the cute things Melissa was selling, oh well.

I decided I better not leave out any 'girls only' shoppers so I whipped out a few baby leggings and had Luke model them for me.

The numbers: If you watch "Shark Tank" you'll understand what I mean when I say, "Mr. Wonderful" would not be impressed with my sales to date. For those of you that don't watch the show, I think I almost broke even. :) However, I'm not throwing the towel in just yet. I think I'll do the boutique again in the Spring. I haven't learned my lesson just yet. Hopefully, we'll have a better turn out at the next one. I still think those bow ties are the cutest things EVER for little boys. A GIGANTIC thank you goes out to Bryan who managed the kids for those days while I was getting ready for the boutique and when I actually had to be there. I'll be back in 6 months with another update!

4 months!

Happy 4 months to Emma! I cannot believe that she is already this old! A few fun things about Emma at 4 months. She has a ticklish neck and tummy. We love to hear her laugh. She loves to watch her big brother play. She enjoys chatting with the ladies, especially at church...we're borderline disruptive. She has recently discovered how to make bubbles, a.k.a. spitting. That might be related to watching Luke play. Her stats:

Weight: 12 lbs 10.5 oz.....19th %tile
Height:  24 inches............33rd %tile
Head: 41 cm.....................61st  %tile

We love this baby girl! Luke wouldn't want me to share this, but I even caught him giving her a kiss on our walk yesterday.

We snapped a few family pictures tonight, thanks to Elizabeth and Charlie for helping us out.
This was my favorite picture from tonight.

Pretty much sums it up.  :)

'Little Ties for Little Guys'

About a month ago I decided to go back to work as nurse for one day a week. It is a great gig. I work at a pediatric clinic here in Castle Rock. Awesome hours, super close to home and I like the people I work with. I'm not sure why I thought I should add something else to my plate, but why not??? I decided to participate in a Barn Boutique this weekend. You can check it out here. I will be selling (fingers crossed) these little bow ties below.

Aren't those bow ties snazzy?
The handsome "models" definitely made my job easier!

I'll give an update with how it all plays out...I might end up making adult-size onesies and bow ties. :)

Happy Halloween!

Luke was a fireman and Emma was a Dalmatian this year for Halloween. It was pretty fun watching Luke go trick-or-treating with his pal, Charlie. When our neighbors would hand Luke a piece of candy, he would promptly reply, "More"!

We have a trunk-or-treat at our church each year before Halloween. It usually involves games for the kids, a costume parade, chili and mac & cheese for dinner followed by the trunk-or-treating in the parking lot. It was a lot of fun!

Getting ready to terrorize the neighbors on Halloween night.

Luke met up with Superman, a.k.a. Charlie and the two of them had a blast running to the various homes and loading up on the sweets!

Happy Halloween!

Baby Love

I hosted a baby shower for my good friend, Elizabeth, with the help from a lot of other good friends! It was a fun night with lots of great friends. We are blessed in our lives to be surrounded with such wonderful people.

Amazing Cake Pops made by Talisha.

The one glitch of the night was when I attempted to play a video...FAIL! :)

 Opening the goods...

Elizabeth and me modeling the bow ties for baby boy. I sure do love this gal, congrats Elizabeth!

Pumpkin Carving

For last night's family night we decided to carve our pumpkins.

You know the carving is getting serious when he starts sticking his tongue out.

Emma thought it was a blast watching us carve our pumpkins while  hanging out in her 1990's hand-me-down bouncer. Don't get me wrong, we have LOVED this chair with both of our kids.

The finished products.
Can you tell that Luke was disappointed the night was coming to a close???
