Dreaming in Blue or Pink??

We had our 20 week ultrasound today. Our baby checked out healthy, so amazing to see the heart, face and toes! I had a difficult time waiting for this day, so I bought an outfit or two, (sales were too good to pass by) for either boy or girl.

Any final guesses? :)

We are excited to announce that Baby BOY Nielson will be joining our family! Bryan is already planning the first gun and bow for our child... time to make additions to the wardrobe and buy a camouflage outfit. :) It has been such a great day, we couldn't be happier!

A New Adventure

Even though Bryan and I have only known each other for several years, we have packed in quite a few adventures. With each adventure we had a lot of fun, learned a lot about each other, and fell in love a little more (I know, gushy). Here is a recap of some of the adventures we've been on together.

Our 2nd or 3rd date, The Narrows.

Bolivia-mountain biked "The Road of Death" and beauty :)

Just a few weeks after being hitched, beautiful India. Clean water, clean air and a clean bed were no longer something we took for granted!

Guatemala, still amazed that Bryan made it out alive from his mission there.

Packed our bags for Colorado...

Found adventures in Colorado-the summit of our first mountain over 14,000 ft together.
P.S. Watch out for really good prices on Motels in small towns-we woke up with bed bugs on this trip, yuck!!

PHEASANT Jubilee, need I say more???

Moab-road biked over 175 miles between the two of us.

...last, but definitely not least.

The newest adventure, and quite possibly the most incredible yet, is that we are expecting!

I am due September 8th, putting me almost at 19 weeks. We are very excited, nervous and happy to welcome this new little guy or gal into our family. We will be finding out what we are having in just a few weeks. Bryan's bet is a girl, my "motherly intuition" is already kicking in and I'm thinking a boy. :) Either way, we pray that our baby will be healthy and strong. Too many years as a pediatric nurse has poisoned my reality that most babies are born just fine. So, if you have any "intuitions" of your own, let us know...boy or girl???
